Full Job Description Job Title:
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Ministry:
Reports to: Sr.
Pastor Salary Range:
$16 - $18 per hour
Position Type:
PT 4-5 hr/day/week Job Description The primary function of the administrative assistant is to maintain communication between the staff, congregation, and outside groups. The ability to manage several ongoing events and necessary correspondence is essential in this position. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position. This position serves the staff and church through internal/external communications.
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare weekly e-letter and Sunday bulletin and announcements Maintain church website and calendar Document weekly attendance and prepare report as needed Set up bi-weekly session agenda and supplementary materials Design promotional materials for ministry and church-wide functions Update and maintain the church data base, church directory, and mailing lists. Manage facility use and benevolence requests
Weekly Responsibilities:
Answer telephone, email, and other correspondence as needed Order supplies and maintain office equipment Assist in keeping communion supplies stocked Record information/prepare materials to support the visitor through member process Coordination of schedule in church planner for weekly volunteers, deacons and elders How this role benefits the church: This position serves the staff and church through internal/external communications.
Qualifications Skills:
MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) Adobe Photoshop a plus MailChimp and CMS website
Competencies:
Organize and maintain files and records Ability to find, create and insert artwork into print and web media Detail-oriented and self-starter Exceptional communication skills including writing and speaking Superior organization skills Maintain workflow with dedication to completing projects in a timely manner Exercise confidentiality, discernment, and wise judgment
