As our Administrative Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting our team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional client service. You'll work directly with clients, guide team members, and help shape the future of our firm. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, thrives in a detail-oriented environment, and wants to be part of a collaborative, growth-minded firm. The right person will be independent, self-motivated, determined, emotionally intelligent, and able to successfully execute tasks efficiently. Most importantly, you must have strong communication skills - both written and verbal. What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities Serve as the front desk ambassador, greeting visitors with professionalism and courtesy Handle all initial prospective client outreach and follow-up Manage calendar appointments, schedule meetings, and coordinate events using Microsoft Office Provide excellent customer support by addressing inquiries promptly via phone or email while maintaining proper phone etiquette Assist with personal assistant responsibilities such as travel arrangements, correspondence management, and time management tasks Coordinate and manage the intake and tracking of tax documents from clients Prepare and track service proposals, e-file authorizations, tax organizers, power of attorney forms and other client communications Complete client onboarding, setup, and maintain client databases Assist with assembling and finalizing tax returns and other deliverables for electronic delivery and internal storage per retention policies Maintain e-filing procedures and tracking Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of filings Support scheduling, billing, and administrative tasks Communicate with staff, managers and partners to manage workflows Offer insight, feedback and help develop and implemenet policies and procedures

Qualifications Required:
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment • Proven office experience with strong clerical skills including filing, data entry, and document proofreading Strong written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional demeanor and client-focused attitude
Preferred:
Prior experience in a CPA firm or professional services environment High-character and high-energy characteristics Familiarity with tax software or e-filing platforms Interest in learning more about tax processes and compliance Compensation $45,000 - $55,000 annually Why Furman
