Job Description

We are seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join a professional team supporting trial attorneys in personal injury matters in both State and Federal Courts . This full-time position is based in the Dover, NH office and offers the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a fast-paced litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a law firm setting and a strong ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from inception through trial Draft and prepare legal correspondence, motions, objections, and other filings Assist with discovery, including organizing and managing large volumes of documents File legal documents with courts (State and Federal), including through electronic filing systems Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, medical providers, and opposing counsel via phone and email Coordinate medical evaluations and track related deadlines Review, organize, and summarize medical records and prepare them for trial presentation Maintain organized case files and trial binders for attorney use in hearings and proceedings
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in a legal support role, preferably in personal injury litigation Familiarity with court procedures, discovery rules, and trial preparation Experience working with claims adjusters and understanding the claims process Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management abilities Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Excel, Adobe, and legal file management software (NetDocuments experience a plus) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with strict deadlines
