Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Overview We are seeking a warm, energetic, organized, and highly dependable Personal Assistant / Household Companion to support an independent 93-year-old woman in maintaining her quality of life and independence at home. This role combines elements of a personal assistant, household manager, companion, and driver. The successful candidate will become a trusted resource and helping hand, assisting with errands, appointments, household tasks, companionship, pet care, and day-to-day activities that help each day run smoothly. About the Role You will be supporting a vibrant, independent, and strong-willed 93-year-old woman who enjoys maintaining control of her daily routine and household. She values her independence, enjoys staying active and engaged, and will appreciate having a trusted person available to help with errands, appointments, household tasks, companionship, and pet care. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking direction, adaptable to changing priorities, and able to provide support while respecting personal preferences and independence. A positive attitude, patience, flexibility, and a good sense of humor are essential. Key Responsibilities Daily Support & Companionship Provide companionship, conversation, and social engagement throughout the day Assist with maintaining daily routines, schedules, and activities Accompany on walks, lunch outings, shopping trips, appointments, and recreational activities Encourage participation in activities and social engagements Assist with technology, phone calls, correspondence, and general day-to-day needs Household Management Coordinate appointments, calendar management, and scheduling Organize household paperwork, mail, bills, and personal records Coordinate household vendors, service providers, deliveries, and maintenance appointments Assist with meal planning, meal preparation, and light kitchen cleanup Help maintain an organized, comfortable, and well-functioning household Transportation & Errands Drive to medical appointments, personal appointments, shopping, and social engagements Grocery shopping and pharmacy pickups Run household errands and assist with other miscellaneous tasks as needed Wellness & Safety Support Provide medication reminders and assist with maintaining medication schedules Help create a structured daily routine that promotes independence and wellbeing Observe and communicate any notable changes in memory, mobility, wellbeing, or safety concerns to designated family members Serve as an additional layer of support to help ensure a safe and comfortable home environment Puppy Care Care for a young puppy, including feeding, walks, playtime, transportation to appointments, and general supervision Qualifications Prior experience as a personal assistant, household manager, senior companion, nurse, social worker, or similar role preferred Excellent organizational and communication skills Strong judgment and problem-solving abilities Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable driving and transporting an older adult Comfortable with dogs and pet care responsibilities Professional, trustworthy, patient, and adaptable Ability to work independently and anticipate needs CPR and First Aid certification preferred but not required Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience.
