THE JOB:
It is the primary responsibility of the Convention Setup Coordinator to facilitate and coordinate correspondence between the Convention Setup department and all other departments on property. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Grand policies, practices and procedures.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Communicate information to other departments regarding tear downs and setups of conventions and meetings Maintain rapport with clients and other departments to ensure client satisfaction Work with departments across properties to coordinate equipment deliveries and pickups Work directly with guests and appropriate departments to coordinate hotel meeting rooms and any other function needs Order departmental supplies and equipment with proper approval Keep records of research for ordering departments to ensure consistency in products and prices Maintain proper employee records pertaining to attendance, payroll and personal information Work with manager and supervisors to ensure that all operational paperwork and files are kept in a neat, accessible and easily comprehensible manner Handle cast member and guest complaints with the intent of resolving situations to the satisfaction of all parties
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
High School Diploma or GED Required Required to Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience Experience working in an administrative capacity, knowledge of convention set-up operations Preferred

Pay Rate:
The rate for this role is: $17.00 This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans.
