Job Overview:
Performs and provides personal secretarial and administrative support services such as preparing correspondence in final form, receiving visitors, scheduling meetings and maintaining files for Behavioral Health. Preparing documents for court and making sure they are signed on time by the appropriate Judge on call. Responsible for Court Log being updated.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma
Preferred:
Typing 40 WPM Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Scheduling Requirements:
Day shift, 7:00am-3:00pm Weekend/holiday availability is required
Per Diem Essential Functions:
Answers telephone calls in a polite and professional manner. Messages from voice mail or telephone given to appropriate staff timely. Assist with Staffing Coordination Coordinate any referrals as directed Initiate and follow up on referrals to LTC facilities as ordered. Coordinate the TCO and Court Log. Liaison to Passaic County Court. Ensure that commitment papers are completed properly and sent for judicial review in a timely manner. Coordinates unit, patient and physician needs Copy medical record for transfers to appropriate level of care Demonstrates a cooperative attitude with co-workers. Communicates with co-workers in a professional and respectful manner. Ensures that the unit has the appropriate supplies for patient care Provide typing for department as needed and directed by the Nurse Manager of Behavioral Health USTF Knowledge and Entry. Maintains charts as necessary- including breaking down charts after discharge and ensuring the charts get to medical records on time.
