Join Our Leadership Team The Arc Mercer is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to oversee our Behavioral Day Services programs supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including individuals with behavioral health and dual-diagnosis needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is committed to person-centered services, staff development, quality outcomes, and innovative programming. The Program Administrator will provide leadership for multiple behavioral day programs while supervising Program Managers and partnering with clinical, nursing, quality assurance, and operational teams to ensure exceptional service delivery. What You'll Do Leadership & Operations Provide overall leadership and operational oversight of Behavioral Day Services programs. Supervise and mentor Program Managers and program staff. Ensure programs maintain appropriate staffing levels, regulatory compliance, and service quality. Lead recruitment, employee development, performance management, and retention initiatives. Support strategic planning, program growth, and continuous quality improvement efforts. Consumer Services & Clinical Collaboration Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centered services. Monitor implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs). Collaborate with Behavioral Specialists, Nursing, Residential Services, Support Coordinators, families, and guardians. Review behavioral trends, incidents, outcomes, and quality indicators to support consumer success. Assist with crisis management and behavioral support strategies when needed. Compliance & Quality Assurance Maintain compliance with DDD, Medicaid, DHS, and agency requirements. Monitor documentation, audits, incident reporting, and corrective action plans. Partner with Quality Assurance and leadership teams during licensing reviews and regulatory inspections. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence. Community Engagement & Program Development Expand meaningful community integration opportunities. Develop partnerships that support recreation, volunteerism, education, and vocational experiences. Support innovative program development and agency strategic initiatives.
What You Need:
Required Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or management experience. Valid New Jersey driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Preferred Experience managing behavioral support programs. Knowledge of DDD regulations, Medicaid requirements, ISP implementation, and person-centered planning. Experience leading teams in human services, healthcare, behavioral health, or developmental disability services. Skills We Value Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
