Location:
Glen Ridge School District Part-Time High School Office Staff (6:45am - 11am) The High School is seeking a dependable, professional, and customer-focused Part-Time Office Staff member to support the daily operations of the main office. This position serves as the first point of contact for parents, students, staff, vendors, contractors, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming environment while maintaining school security protocols. The successful candidate will also manage incoming phone calls and assist with student attendance records and other clerical responsibilities. Essential Responsibilities Greet and assist parents, students, staff members, vendors, contractors, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Follow established school security procedures, including visitor sign-in, identification verification, and issuance of visitor badges. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, take messages, and provide accurate information to callers. Monitor and update student attendance records in the student information management system. Communicate attendance information with students, parents, and staff as needed. Assist with general office duties including filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and document preparation. Maintain confidentiality of student and personnel information. Support administrators and office staff with clerical and organizational tasks as assigned. Contribute to a positive and welcoming school environment. Qualifications High school diploma required; associate degree or related experience preferred. Previous office, administrative, customer service, or school-based experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and data entry systems. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Desired Characteristics Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented. Reliable and punctual. Comfortable interacting with students, parents, staff, and community members. Able to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
