Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Clerical Assistant for the School of Engineering. Under general guidance and direction, the Clerical Assistant performs a range of routine administrative, business and support tasks for the Rutgers DataCity Smart Mobility Testing Ground project funded by Middlesex County. The role focuses on maintaining efficient day-to-day operations and assisting permanent staff, researchers and students. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Performs data entry and updates/organizes project records such as technical reports, presentation slides, demo materials, training documentation, technical briefs, and other outreach materials. Provides general administrative support for staff and management. Responds to basic inquiries from staff, vendors and partners and coordination with business office and other units when necessary. Assists with administrative tracking and support of project expenses, and reporting, purchasing, expense reporting, and acquisitions related to Middlesex County and DataCity projects, including preparing purchase and reimbursement documents. Assists in maintaining calendars, coordinating project schedules and tracking deadlines and deliverables across Middlesex County and DataCity related projects. FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $16 - $18/hourly Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
