November 1, 2026 A private family in Ridgewood, NJ, is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and dependable Family Assistant to help manage household logistics, scheduling, vendors, travel arrangements, and family-related administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who can anticipate needs, manage multiple priorities, and keep household operations running smoothly.
Main Responsibilities:
Coordinate and book family travel arrangements Manage household service providers, including landscapers, housekeepers, painters, handymen, and other vendors Schedule, coordinate, and oversee household maintenance and service appointments Assist with household projects and track progress through completion Manage children's sports and activity schedules Complete registrations, applications, forms, and related administrative tasks for children's activities Maintain organized household calendars, records, and schedules Communicate with vendors, service providers, and family members regarding appointments and household needs Follow up on outstanding tasks and ensure deadlines are met Assist with errands and general household logistics as needed Proactively identify issues and help resolve them efficiently Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
Required Qualities:
Highly reliable, punctual, and responsive Proactive and able to anticipate household needs Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment Excellent attention to detail and follow-through Able to work independently and prioritize effectively Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities at once Organized, efficient, and deadline-conscious Discreet and respectful of the family's privacy
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Family Assistant, Personal Assistant, Household Manager, or in a similar role Strong administrative and organizational skills Experience coordinating vendors, schedules, and household projects Excellent written and verbal communication skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Strong professional references Legally authorized to work in the
