Qualifications Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft systems which may include, and at least an intermediate level of proficiency with Spreadsheet software and at least an intermediate level of proficiency with Word Processing software. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Must have a valid driver's license with driving record insurable under the resort insurance. Other Skills and Abilities Must be well spoken, professional and able to communicate on any level with any type of personality. Other Qualifications Must be able to work a wide range of hours at different locations throughout the Village.

Special Requirements Summary:

The Village of Angel Fire Visitor Center Administrative Assistant is responsible for operating and managing the Visitor Center and the Village Short Term Rental program. Greeting visitors, providing information and answering questions about things to do, dining, shopping, events and everything Angel Fire. Managing the Short-Term Rental program; issuing permits, collecting monthly reports and communicating with lodging providers is a priority of this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Understands that the primary goal of the Visitor Center is to warmly welcome visitors to our community.
  • Manages Short Term Rental permit process including applications, reporting and compliance. Maintains relationships and communications channels with lodging providers. Audits lodging reports and manages STR database.
  • Manages the Visitor Center by keeping brochures and flyers on display and rotate materials to ensure the latest information is being distributed.
  • Answers phone and email requests professionally providing accurate information.
  • Assists other Village Departments when needed, answering phones, covering desks and helping on special projects.
  • Works with Angel Fire businesses to sponsor and produce events.
  • Works directly with the Event Manager on event and activity execution.
  • Cleans and maintains the Visitor Center
  • Works on events; nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Overcomes any challenges that may develop to ensure a successful visitor interaction.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with all Village departments.
  • Assists in the execution of special events by moving supplies, setting up furniture, taking out trash, cleaning, providing customer service, speaking through a PA system, etc. Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical
