Job Description
Responsibilities and Skills:
- Ability to provide phenomenal customer service
- Oversee all of LATA's Carlsbad office activities with minimal supervision
- Coping, coordinating, communicating, analyzing, and solving problems with internal and external personnel through phone calls, emails, or in person.
- Serve as LATA's Community Interface representative including participating in local organizations and non-profit activities, interfacing with local governmental and non-governmental organizations, and attending community events.
- Responsible for supporting LATA hiring in the Carlsbad region, and specifically for WIPP support, including supporting recruitment and employee onboarding activities.
- Greets visitors, answers the telephone, receives deliveries, and sorts, opens, and distributes the mail.
- Must be willing to support and cross-train in various departments company wide, as needed, which could include business development, finance, contracts, procurement, quality, or project controls depending on the individual's skill set and interest.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible communications and/or secretarial/technical administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, administer and initiate processes and projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain accurate, complete, and detailed records and reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Ability to multi-task and work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Associate degree or 3 years equivalent experience in Administration or related field.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the use of personal computers and office productivity software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365 etc.), internet browsers and e-mail.
- Having creative, steady, hardworking, attentive, patient, and responsible personalities; great leadership and teamwork.
