• Why does the job exist? Office Support Clerks have responsibilities that often change daily with the needs of the specific job and the employer. They perform a range of general office/clerical tasks requiring general office skills, plus a comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures. Tasks include preparing and processing documents, creating and/or maintaining record keeping systems, and copying and collating documents. Other tasks may include, but are not limited to, proofreading, filing, keyboarding, data entry, operating office equipment, processing mail, ordering and distributing supplies, bookkeeping duties, processing payroll and accounts payable/receivable, assisting the public and others to locate and view or assemble filmed, scanned, or archived documents and/or information. How does it get done? Will provide office support such as employee travel reimbursement, invoice payments, opening and closing files, procuring office supplies, etc. in a professional manner and within specified deadlines Will provide reception support, screening incoming calls, greeting and responding to public needs Will provide FACTS support by entering and researching past due payments Will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Minimum Qualification No prior experience or training required. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
