The ideal candidate must work well under pressure and strictly adhere to FERPA and confidentiality regulations. This position plays an integral role in delivering a high-quality service experience to all new, incoming students and the community. The primary goal is to provide excellent customer service while delivering administrative support, including managing special projects and performing general office work related to the admissions process. Duties and Responsibilities Answer phones professionally, route calls to specific individuals, and take or relay accurate messages. Greet visitors and customers in a respectful, customer-service-oriented manner. Review, verify, and assess applications and supporting documents in accordance with established guidelines; follow up on missing or deficient information, and communicate application statuses. Evaluate transcripts and applicant records to determine eligibility, and accurately initiate, code, and process applications. Create and maintain manual and computerized records, logs, and filing systems to ensure all data is complete, accurate, and up-to-date. Perform data entry, maintain various computer databases, scan incoming departmental documents, and perform routine analysis for recurring internal reports. Respond to inquiries and investigate or resolve day-to-day administrative problems, serving as a liaison with other departments and operating units. Sort, screen, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail; compose routine correspondence and ensure timely responses to written requests. Provide administrative support by expediting and coordinating documentation relative to Admissions policies and procedures. Exercise independent judgment to manage and protect confidential information in strict accordance with privacy regulations. Organize workload and schedule assignments by priority and date received to ensure all deadlines are met. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
