Job Description

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will greet clients and families at drop off and pick up. Will assist in completing the Intake Packet as needed. Will complete Presumptive eligibility when called upon to do so. Will be responsible for distributing treatment plans to interested parties and maintain calendar of scheduled treatment plan meetings. Will assist in verifying Medicaid eligibility and verification. Will create, maintain, and manage all Client binders. Will create distribute training schedules for parents and employees. Responsible for monitoring and charting authorization dates and providing those dates to clinicians. Responsible for purchasing and tracking stock level of items and necessities for the Autism Clinic. Responsible for completion and submission of Incident Reports to appropriate licensing agent and sending the original to GCLC Human Resources Department. Assist Autism Clinic Director and Program Manager in community relations, coordination of special events. Participate in staff meeting, create agenda, and keep minutes. Maintain confidentiality for all information regarding clients, staff, physicians, and GCLC obtained as a result of employment at GCLC. All other duties as assigned by the Autism Clinic Director or BCBAs.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Must be at least 18 years old. High School Diploma or High School equivalent. Experience with office duties (filing, answering phones). Must pass
CYFD/FBI
fingerprint clearance check to maintain employment. Must pass and maintain a Driving Record clearance in accordance with GCLC policies and procedures. Preference given to qualified bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates. Certified in Presumptive eligibility preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
LEVEL AND DEGREE OF SUPERVISION
Page Break Supervision provided by Autism Clinic Director. Expected to be highly motivated and self-directed. Supervision to include weekly team meetings, general staff meetings and other meetings needed to ensure compliance with established team and agency goals.
CONDITIONS OF WORK
Hiring and promotion will be accomplished in compliance with Guidance Center's Personnel Policies and Procedures. This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Requires a minimum 40 hours per week. Hours and/or days may vary according to need. Overtime (time and 1/2) will be paid for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week. Travel is required of employees for delivery of services, training, or conferences. Personal transportation is mandatory. Guidance Center of Lea County, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
