Job Description

Position Summary AMC Engineering is seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Administrative Assistant / Office Manager to support daily office operations. This in-office role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats, managing administrative tasks, and supporting a small technical team. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day office operations and maintain an organized office environment Answer and direct phone calls and emails in a professional manner Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate appointments Prepare, edit, and organize documents, reports, and correspondence Assist with invoicing, expense tracking, and basic bookkeeping support Maintain filing systems (digital and physical) Order office supplies and coordinate with vendors Support project managers and technical staff with administrative needs Assist with HR-related tasks such as onboarding paperwork and time tracking Ensure compliance with internal procedures and company standards Qualifications High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred 2+ years of experience in an administrative assistant or office manager role Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Working knowledge of Quickbooks preferred Professional demeanor with strong attention to detail Prior experience in an engineering, environmental, or professional services firm is a plus Work Environment & Schedule In-office position located in Queens, NY Part-time or Full time Collaborative small-office setting Compensation & Benefits $25 - $38 per hour (depending on experience) Supportive and professional work environment Health Care Benefits for full time 401K and company matching benefits for full time How to Apply Interested candidates should submit a resume and brief cover letter detailing relevant experience and references.
