Job Description

POSITION
Program and Office Admin Assistant Reports To:

C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association improves the lives of children and their families coping with childhood cancer or chronic blood disorder by providing educational, emotional, financial and social assistance; promoting and funding research toward a cure. We are Embracing Families at Every Turn
SCOPE OF THE POSITION
Individual will work closely with management and must also be able to work independently to leverage his/her time to help achieve organization goals. Individual will interact with families in an empathetic and sensitive manner while assisting with their needs. Incumbent will work alongside the Bereaved Family Advocate, Program Coordinator and Events and Community Coordinator to assist with events and needs as well as with the Executive Director on an as needed basis. The position is responsible for providing administrative support to the program and office functions, including content creation, volunteer management, and event coordination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative:
Greeting visitors at the main entrance. Record minutes at team meetings and distribute to the Team in a timely manner. Receive and distribute mail. Monitor and order office supplies. Maintain and coordinate building and exterior care. Provide support to the Executive Director, as requested. Assist the Community & Events Coordinator, as requested.
Program:
Order supplies for programming needs. Collaborate with programming staff to collect for metrics for tracking and grant writing. Update Parent Advocate Count reports to reflect touch points and support provided by the Parent Advocates. Represent C.U.R.E. at both programming and fundraising events. Prepare in-office event setups. Manage and coordinate volunteers. Assemble materials for volunteers. Assist with donation pick-up coordination. Create online sign-up forms for programs. Assemble Patient/Parent Organizers for families. Inventory and order items for Comfort Bags. Assist with the creation of monthly newsletter. Contribute to the development of social media content. Collaborate with the Programming Team to provide support when needed
REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficient in written and verbal communication. Competency in office software and social media platforms. Organizational and multitasking abilities. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to work unsupervised, within a team or individually.
Education and Training Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
• Bachelor's degree
Experience Required:
Minimum of 1 year in an administrative or program support role.

C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association is a small and evolving organization with the expectation that all employees participate in organization-wide responsibilities and tasks. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Employees in this position are regularly required to sit, talk or hear, in person and by telephone; sit for prolonged periods; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment and reach with hands and arms. Employees are frequently required to walk, stand and lift up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
