Office Administrative Assistant Sensory Stars Pediatric Therapy | Seaford, NY Sensory Stars Pediatric Therapy is looking for a friendly, energetic Office Administrative Assistant to join our team! Our clinic is a busy pediatric sensory gym where children come for occupational, physical, and speech therapy. We are looking for someone who loves being around kids, especially children with special needs , and enjoys being part of a supportive team environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and being part of a place that truly makes a difference for families. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term commitment with our office.

AM Wednesday:

3:45 PM•6:45

PM Thursday:

7:30 AM•11:30 AM Responsibilities include: Answering phones and warmly assisting families with scheduling and general questions Communicating with insurance companies regarding benefits and authorizations Taking messages for therapists and office staff Filing paperwork and helping keep the office organized Following directions and assisting with day-to-day clinic needs Light cleaning to help keep our therapy spaces safe and welcoming (vacuuming the waiting room, Shark mopping mats, taking out garbage) Helping maintain a positive and welcoming environment for families

Physical Requirements:

Must be comfortable occasionally lifting or assisting with child-weight support if needed Comfortable moving around an active sensory gym environment The right person for this role: Truly loves kids and enjoys being around children with special needs Friendly, patient, and energetic Comfortable speaking on the phone and interacting with families Organized and able to follow directions Takes initiative and enjoys being part of a team This position can be a great opportunity for a retired former therapist or someone interested in working in a child-focused environment.
