8:00AM-5:00PM The MetroHealth System is redefining health care by going beyond medical treatment to improve the foundations of community health and well-being: affordable housing, a cleaner environment, economic opportunity and access to fresh food, convenient transportation, legal help and other services. The system strives to become as good at preventing disease as it is at treating it. Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:
Qualifies, cultivates, solicits, and stewards a portfolio of 100-150 donors and prospects with focus on those who have the capacity to contribute a 5-figure gift to MetroHealth. Develops and executes strategies for each donor/prospect within portfolio. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in addition to the experience stated below. A minimum of three (3) years of experience of securing support from a portfolio of donors or clients. Knowledge of and experience in presenting various gift planning options to donors and prospects. Skill in identifying, initiating, and cultivating relationships with prospects. Ability to successfully work independently as well as thrive in a goal-oriented, dynamic, fast-paced team-based environment. Ability to listen astutely and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a diverse group of staff, donors, and volunteers. Ability to work in an adaptable, self-driven, goal-oriented demeanor. Ability to project credibility and confidence to donors and peers. Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. Ability to travel and work outside of normal office hours as needed. Computer proficient with experience using fundraising or CRM databases Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
Fundraising experience in a health care or social service environment.
Physical Demands:
May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Dexterity to use computer.
