Superintendent Northridge Local School District is seeking a highly qualified, organized, and professional individual to serve as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. This key position provides executive-level support and serves as the central point of coordination for the Superintendent's Office and Board of Education operations.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced educational environment. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to excellence in serving students, staff, and the community. Position Summary The Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent supports the daily operations of the Superintendent's Office, coordinates Board of Education activities, manages communications, and maintains district records. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism of district-level operations while supporting district strategic initiatives and Superintendent-led priorities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Executive & Administrative Support Manage and maintain the Superintendent's calendar, scheduling meetings, appointments, and events Serve as the primary point of contact for the Superintendent's Office Prepare, draft, edit, and process correspondence, reports, and official documents Coordinate travel, conference registrations, and leadership scheduling Represent the Superintendent's Office with professionalism in all interactions Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion Board of Education Coordination Coordinate Board meeting preparation, including agendas, materials, and minutes Prepare Board meeting packets and official documentation Communicate with Board members on behalf of the Superintendent and Treasurer Manage post-meeting follow-up, including minutes, resolutions, and correspondence Ensure timely processing of Board-approved items Assist in maintaining Board policies and administrative guidelines (e.g., NEOLA) Track policy updates, approvals, and implementation timelines Communications & Public Relations Maintain and update the district website, calendars, and announcements Coordinate and distribute communications, including emergency notifications Assist with district-wide crisis communication Respond to public inquiries via phone, email, and social media Records, Compliance & Reporting Maintain records in compliance with Ohio records retention laws Ensure confidentiality and adherence to FERPA and district policies Track deadlines, reports, and administrative processes Maintain accurate data and assist with reporting Human Resources & District Support Support student hearings and related documentation Assist with job postings, onboarding, and HR-related tasks Provide professional customer service to staff, families, and the community Event & Project Coordination Assist in planning district events and recognition programs Coordinate communications for district initiatives and annual events Support Board recognition programs Assist with implementation of strategic initiatives Qualifications High school diploma (required) Experience supporting administrators or executives in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Experience with communication platforms (e.g., ParentSquare) preferred Familiarity with Canva, social media, or design tools (a plus) Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism Additional Requirements Successful background check in accordance with Ohio law Compliance with Board policies and district procedures Why Join Northridge Local Schools?
