Job Description

Job Title:

High School Building Secretary/Pupil Services (8 hrs per day, 5 days per week) The approximate hours for this position will be Monday

•Friday 7:00 a.m.

•3:30 p.m.(226 days worked plus 13 paid holidays) The salary minimum is $17.14 per hour.

Perform secretarial duties for the high school office. Prepare and maintain student records. Maintain daily attendance (track absences, send letters, notify parents, etc.) Recognize each contact with the public as an opportunity to promote a positive impression of the school district.

Note:

Duties may vary based on the department assignment.

Minimum Qualifications include but not limited to:

High school diploma or equivalent. Post secondary secretarial or business school graduate is preferred. A clear record as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Proficient in office procedures, protocol, and the use of business equipment (e.g., calculators, copiers, computers, software programs, etc.). Proficient in typing, spelling, and the correct use of grammar. Ability to achieve proficiency in data entry and the use of educational management information software. Skill in bookkeeping functions and mathematical computations. Basic understanding of first aid. Demonstrated maturity and the ability to work with students and their families.
