Job Description
Job Overview Are you looking for meaningful work where you can make a difference in the lives of older adults in your community? The Putnam County Council on Aging is seeking a dependable, compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Transportation & Administrative Assistant . This is a NEW position created to provide additional administrative and operational support as our transportation program continues to grow. This position plays an important role in helping ensure older adults have access to safe, reliable transportation services that support their independence. Responsibilities The Transportation & Administrative Assistant will: Provide receptionist and customer service support for clients, visitors, and the public. Assist with transportation scheduling, including entering trip requests and maintaining accurate records. Communicate transportation information, schedule changes, and updates with clients. Perform data entry and maintain client and transportation records. Prepare transportation documents, reports, and other administrative materials. Assist with maintaining driver and vehicle documentation. Provide general office support, including filing, scanning, mailings, and program assistance. Serve as a backup driver when needed to support transportation operations. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree and/or relevant experience in office administration, customer service, transportation, scheduling, or related fields preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions. Comfortable using computers and learning agency software. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Experience working with older adults and/or individuals with disabilities preferred. Valid Ohio driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
