We are currently in search of a Front Office Specialist for our busy Springboro location. Family Health Center, like all Providence primary care practices, is a recognized Patient-Centered Medical Home, and focuses on building lasting patient relationships based on trust and continuity of care.
What you will do:
The FOS is typically the first point of contact (via phone and in-person) for the office. You will provide a wide variety of administrative support duties including but not limited to:
Job Duties:
Greets patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner Answers telephone calls, schedules appointments, and completes referrals Verifies patient demographics and insurance information and ensures information is up to date and accurate Collects co-payments and outstanding patient balances Ensures patients are scheduled for follow-up appointments and annual well visits Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Any other duties relating to the business operation of the medical practice that may be assigned by the provider or site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous front office experience or background in general office work. Ability to comprehend established office routines and policies. Learns quickly from oral and written instructions. Ability to operate a computer. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of CPT & ICD-10coding. Understand HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) Good organization skills Tact and diplomacy
