Intermittent Clerk (PT) City of Tallmadge - 4.0 Tallmadge, OH Job Details Part-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Clerical experience Full Job Description The Intermittent Clerk will primarily support the Office of City Council, providing front-line clerical assistance and customer service to residents. This role is currently expected to work approximately 8-10 hours per week and will assist with general administrative tasks such as filing and records organization, clerical support, and answering incoming calls from residents to help direct questions and requests appropriately. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under immediate supervision, the Intermittent Clerk temporarily fills in for other staff when absent or to assist on short-term projects. The Clerk receives and directs calls to appropriate staff, may greet visitors, delivers and sorts mail, types and distributes documents, and operates office equipment and computer.JOB DESCRIPTION AND WORKER CHARACTERISTICS
Answers phones and greets visitors, guests and the general public; provides general information, resolves routine issues, takes messages or refers party to appropriate staff; receives emails, and distributes incoming mail, and processes outgoing mail; types letters, memos, reports, and other correspondence, and may enter data in computer or spreadsheets. May be aware of calendar for those in the office. Provides staff support to department working in and other departments as necessary; performing clerical and review tasks, provides phone coverage to other departments when required. Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable OSHA safety standards that pertain to essential functions. Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance when scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Completion of secondary education or equivalent (high school diploma or GED); or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Pay:
