Administrative Assistant, Guidance 10 months/5 days per week/7.5 hours per day (7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.)
REPORTS TO
South High School Principal
HOURLY RANGE
$21.34 to $27.88. Commensurate with experience.
PRIMARY DUTIES
To assist and support the Willoughby South HS Guidance Department in all areas for the benefit of students. Responsibilities include, but not limited to support for guidance counselors, setting up appointments for students and families, transcripts, college contacts, answering phones, emails, student support, support of main office in times of need, and more.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills - Must have a working knowledge of typing, bookkeeping, word processing on a personal computer, data entry, email and internet correspondence. Must be able to follow instructions and project positive reinforcement; communicate effectively with students, staff, and the public both individually and in group situations; be able to improvise in difficult and/or unusual situations and function under stress. Must possess excellent verbal and written skills. Must have the ability to operate telephone, copiers and other office equipment. Characteristics/Traits - Must maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance; have control over emotions; be self motivated, punctual, dependable in attendance, reliable in work habits, and be task oriented; be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task; exercise confidentiality, discretion and good judgment; and be able to derive satisfaction interacting with students and the public. Education/Training - High school diploma or equivalent is required; experience using Word, Excel, Google Suite and PowerSchool is preferred. Additional higher education course credit and/or job-related training is preferred. Qualifications for this position and of the applicants may be determined by using the Rubric System when applicable.
Pay:
$21.34 - $27.88 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
