Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and organized Front Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office, providing excellent customer service to patients, and supporting the administrative functions of our chiropractic practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chiropractic office management and be familiar with various healthcare documentation processes. Duties Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage incoming phone calls using multi-line phone systems, directing calls as necessary. Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar efficiently. Process patient registrations, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately. Assist with medical coding and documentation review to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain medical records, ensuring they are organized, up-to-date, and secure. Handle medical collections and billing inquiries with professionalism. Support health information management by ensuring all patient data is entered accurately into Medisoft/Jane or similar systems. Collaborate with staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care. Skills Proficient in medical coding and understanding of medical records management. Familiarity with phone systems and ability to manage multiple calls effectively. Experience with Medisoft/Jane or similar electronic health record systems. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Previous experience in medical office management or related healthcare roles is preferred, but not required.
