Job Description

Position Summary The Front Office & Visitor Service individual serves as the first point of contact for all visitors, members, students, artists, and community partners. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional atmosphere while providing excellent customer service, supporting daily administrative operations, assisting with programs and events, and helping ensure the smooth operations of the art center. Essential ResponsibilitiesVisitor & Customer Service Welcome all guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner. Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries. Provide information about exhibitions, classes, memberships, events, and facility rentals. Process class registrations, memberships, and donations. Assist visitors with gallery and program information. Administrative Support Maintain an organized and efficient front desk area. Receive and distribute mail and deliveries. Perform data entry and maintain accurate records. Prepare routine correspondence, reports, and filing. Assist staff with administrative projects as assigned. Gallery & Program Support Help monitor gallery spaces and ensure visitors have a positive experience. Support artist check-in, class preparation, and event setup as needed. Maintain program materials and informational displays. Retail & Sales Process retail and gift shop purchases using the point-of-sale system. Assist with inventory tracking. Facility Support Help maintain a clean, welcoming front lobby and public spaces. Monitor office and visitor supply inventory. Report maintenance or facility concerns promptly.
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
