American Freight Inc. is a nationwide freight brokerage headquartered in White City, Oregon. We support freight brokers and customers across the U.S. and pride ourselves on reliability, professionalism, and teamwork. We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to help keep our operations running smoothly. Position Overview This role provides administrative and operational support to our brokerage and office team. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, proactive, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally Monitor and respond to general email inquiries New customer and carrier setup (data entry and documentation review) Support freight brokers with paperwork and load documentation Scan, organize, and maintain digital and physical files Enter and update accounting and operational data Assist supervisors and team members with administrative tasks as needed Qualifications Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail High level of accuracy and follow-through Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Comfortable working independently Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Previous administrative or office experience preferred What We're Looking For Professional and dependable Positive attitude and team mindset Takes ownership of responsibilities Comfortable in a structured, process-driven environment If you're organized, reliable, and enjoy supporting a team that moves fast and works hard, we'd love to hear from you.
