$17.00 - $19.00 per hour

20 - 30 hours per week Position Overview North Sewickley Township is seeking an organized, professional, and detail-oriented individual to serve as an Assistant Township Clerk . This position plays a vital role in supporting Township operations by assisting residents, coordinating permit applications, maintaining Township communications, and helping ensure the efficient operation of municipal facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative, communication, and computer skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with residents, contractors, Township officials, and outside agencies. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPermit Administration Receive, process, and maintain records for building permit applications Coordinate permit applications with the Township Zoning Officer and Building Inspector Assist residents and contractors with permit-related questions and procedures Maintain accurate permit files and documentation Zoning & Ordinance Support Become familiar with Township zoning regulations and ordinances Provide general information to residents regarding Township regulations Assist with maintaining records related to zoning and code enforcement activities Communications & Public Information Update and maintain Township social media accounts Update and maintain Township website content Assist with publishing notices, announcements, and community information Help ensure accurate and timely communication with residents Facility & Administrative Support Manage and maintain the Township Social Hall rental schedule Coordinate facility reservations and related recordkeeping Assist with opening and closing procedures for Township facilities Set and manage the building alarm system as required Perform general clerical and administrative duties as assigned Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist the public in a professional manner Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office applications, email, and internet-based platforms Ability to learn municipal software, procedures, ordinances, and permitting processes Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented office environment Preferred Qualifications (but not required) The following qualifications are preferred but not required: Administrative or office experience Experience managing websites or social media platforms Customer service experience Why Join Our Team?
