Job Description
Jenkins Machine is a 76-year-old, family-owned company specializing in precision machining. We are seeking a detail‑oriented professional to support a mix of administrative, compliance, customer service, sales and operations activities. This role supports multiple areas of the business by helping coordinate work, stay organized, and ensure consistent day-to-day follow-through. You'll manage your own responsibilities while also supporting staff with customer sales and following procedures to ensure jobs move to the production floor with high quality and efficiency. We're looking for someone who enjoys coordinating details, supporting others, and bringing structure to a fast-paced environment. Requirements:
3+ years of experience administrative support, customer service, or similar roleComputer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with an ERP system is a plus. U.S. citizenship is required due to compliance and regulatory requirements Skills & Qualities We're Looking For- Strong attention to detail with the ability to see tasks through from start to finish Effective at managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Solid communication skills (email, phone, and in person) Organized, process-driven, and motivated to get things done right Able to work independently on assigned tasks and projects while also supporting a team environment Comfortable supporting and assisting others by sharing knowledge and helping work move forward Experience working with Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and other shared systems
Bonus:
Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment AS9100, ISO9001 or other compliance experience Associate or bachelor's degree (AA or BA) in Business, Administration, or a related fieldJob Responsibilities:
Take ownership of assigned projects and administrative tasks, managing them independently from start to completion, including coordination with others as needed Track projects and action items, maintaining clear documentation and status updates Assist with sales-related activities such as quoting, reviewing and prepping orders for the machinists. Enter customer orders, monitor due dates, and support customer communication Support operations with reports and other production related tasks Support meetings by helping with scheduling, agendas, notes, and follow-up Assist with compliance and documentation efforts, including document control and AS9100 support Provide administrative support for HR related activities such as onboarding coordination, file maintenance, and employee eventsPosition Location:
