Maintenance Mechanic 12 hour night shift on 2-2-3 Schedule Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative and predictive maintenance on molding equipment and ensures reliable operation of production machinery. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical issues, including PLC-controlled systems, to support continuous and efficient manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on molding equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Troubleshoot and repair molding equipment, addressing both mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner. Diagnose and resolve problems with PLC-controlled systems, with a focus on Allen-Bradley PLCs. Conduct electrical troubleshooting on production equipment, including 3-phase motors and related components. Inspect machinery regularly to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions before failures occur. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to support accurate maintenance records. Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment performance issues and prioritize maintenance tasks. Follow safety procedures and best practices while working on electrical and mechanical systems. Support continuous improvement efforts by recommending enhancements to maintenance processes and equipment reliability. Work Environment This role is based in a large plastics manufacturing facility with a nationwide footprint. You will work primarily on the production floor around molding equipment and associated machinery, including PLC-controlled systems and 3-phase motors. The position operates on 3rd shift, supporting overnight production activities. The environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with exposure to typical manufacturing conditions such as machinery noise and moving equipment, and requires adherence to all safety and personal protective equipment guidelines. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $80000.00/yr. 401k , health benefits, pay incremental plan. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Bethlehem,PA.
