Job Description

Straw Construction is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Construction Administrative Assistant to support Project Management and Estimating activities. This role is essential to the successful execution of construction projects and involves administrative, coordination, and documentation responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities The Construction Administrative Assistant will work closely with the Project Manager and ownership team to perform the following duties: Organize, process, and maintain a variety of company and project-related construction documents Assist the Project Manager with preparation of owner contract documents and project submittals Prepare subcontractor and supplier contracts, purchase orders, and related documentation Assist with preparation of monthly project invoices in coordination with the Project Manager Process and track supplier and subcontractor invoices Ensure accurate tracking, monitoring, and documentation of all project changes Coordinate material and subcontractor pricing for estimating and bid proposals Prepare and assemble bid proposal documents Support general project administration and record-keeping as needed Qualifications Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment Proficiency with basic office and construction documentation tools (e.g., spreadsheets, PDFs, document management systems) Effective communication and coordination skills Prior construction, project coordination, or estimating support experience preferred but not required Compensation & Benefits Competitive wages 401(k) Health care benefits
