Job Description

Lifesteps, a local nonprofit organization with its central office in Butler, PA, is seeking a Part-time Administrative Assistant to support the Community Relations and Agency Development departments. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and Community Relations. Candidate must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be comfortable engaging with individual donors, have attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, function well in a team environment as well as complete tasks independently. Experience with donor relations, database software and Excel, grant writing, fundraising and public relations is preferred. Additional responsibilities include data entry, composing and editing correspondence and gift acknowledgement; organizing meetings, email, calendar and grant tracking task management; specialized administrative and office support functions; creates and maintains specialized reports, lists, records and files required, coordinates activities related to department work processes and lends support to community and fundraising events. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work independently to support the completion of the department s goals and objectives in a professional manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required High school diploma/GED and two years of office support, secretary, or clerical experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Able to analyze, demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail and have problem solving skills Competent to work with confidential information in a responsible manner Developed customer service, interpersonal and communication skills including positive phone etiquette Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle Preferred Associates or Bachelor s degree in a related field Experience with Donor Database Software Experience with grants or fundraising Apply Today!
