Job Summary We are seeking a Part Time Secretary II to join our Veterans' Office. This role is vital in providing administrative support, ensuring smooth office operations, and delivering outstanding customer service to Clearfield County Veterans. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. You will manage front desk responsibilities, handle multi-line phone systems, and assist with office management tasks to create an efficient and welcoming environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your clerical and organizational skills while supporting Veterans. Duties Greet visitors and clients professionally at the front desk, ensuring a positive first impression. Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls accurately and courteously using proper phone etiquette. Maintain organized filing systems, both physical and digital, including data entry and document proofreading Handle confidential information with discretion and ensure compliance with privacy policies. Schedule appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate visits for the Director of Veterans' affairs. Support office management activities such as supply inventory, ordering materials, and maintaining office equipment Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries via phone or email, supporting client communication efforts Utilize Microsoft Office Suite. Perform clerical duties including typing correspondence, preparing reports, and filing documents efficiently Qualifications Proven experience in an office environment or administrative role with strong clerical skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook). Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting. Strong written and verbal communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Experience managing multi-line phone systems and providing exceptional customer support. Good computer literacy with data entry, proofreading, and general office management skills Ability to work independently while maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
