$20.69 ________________________________________ Position Summary The Administrative Clerk performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service duties in support of the Borough's daily operations. The employee serves as one of the first points of contact for residents, businesses, elected officials, and outside agencies by providing courteous assistance, processing municipal documents, maintaining records, and supporting the Borough Secretary, Borough Manager, Mayor, Council, and various departments. The Administrative Clerk must maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and provide exceptional customer service while ensuring compliance with Borough policies and applicable laws. ________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities The duties listed below are representative of the position and are not intended to be all-inclusive. Administrative Duties Answer telephones, greet visitors, and respond to inquiries from the public. Receive and process incoming mail, emails, and deliveries. Maintain electronic and paper filing systems. Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference room usage. Assist with preparation and distribution of Council meeting packets. Assist with public records requests as directed. Accepting & Maintaining Park Rental Permits and Calendar Operate standard office equipment including copier, scanner, postage machine, and multiline telephone system. Customer Service Provide courteous assistance to residents, contractors, businesses, and visitors. Direct inquiries to the appropriate Borough department. Explain Borough forms, procedures, and general policies. Maintain professionalism during difficult or sensitive interactions. ________________________________________ Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of clerical experience preferred. Municipal government experience is preferred but not required. Must be able to successfully pass a onetime preemployment drug screening as a condition of employment ________________________________________ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
