Job Description

Bedford County medical clinic currently seeking a Front Office Assistant to join our team. This position is part-time, schedule may be negotiated. The ideal candidate should be willing to learn our everyday practices and procedures, be hard-working and enjoy a fast-paced environment. We want someone that shares our same commitment to loyalty, honesty and making our patients a number one priority.
Requirements:
BLS/CPR certification (employer can assist with scheduling) 2 years experience (preferred)
Front Office Duties:
Perform opening and closing duties. Accurately and efficiently check patients in and out. Accurately and efficiently schedule patient appointments according to specialty and insurance type. Accurately and efficiently verify insurance coverage across multiple portals. Take patient co-pays and accurately record. Perform call reminders for upcoming appointments. Schedule referral patients. Complete medical records requests. Answer incoming calls and transfer accordingly.
Qualifications:
Complies with State and Federal Regulations Works collaboratively with members of the healthcare team and staff Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour (dependent upon certification and experience)
