Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrative Assistant to support a busy district office in North Carolina. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who excels at keeping daily operations organized, communicating professionally, and managing a wide range of administrative priorities. The person in this role will contribute to meeting coordination, correspondence, records management, and office support while serving as a reliable resource for staff and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day administrative activities to keep the office running efficiently and professionally.
- Organize meeting and conference logistics, including preparing materials, scheduling details, and onsite support when needed.
- Arrange business travel for staff, including airfare and hotel bookings, and help manage related itineraries.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and records for contracts, grievances, and other district documentation.
- Respond to incoming phone calls and email inquiries with professionalism and timely follow-up.
- Draft, format, proofread, and distribute business correspondence, letters, reports, and other office documents.
- Enter, update, and manage information within office databases and tracking systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Support large mailings, office supply purchasing, and coordination of maintenance or repairs for office equipment.
- Assist with light bookkeeping activities such as audit preparation support and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Travel occasionally to help support meetings, conferences, and district events as required.
