Job Description

The Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Administrative Assistant to support daily operations and help ensure cases are completed accurately and on time. This role involves reviewing documents, entering information into our system, handling mail and payments, and communicating with attorneys and other parties. Bankruptcy experience is helpful, but not required — full training is provided. This is an on-site position and our office is located in Hummelstown, PA (between Harrisburg and Hershey). For more information on the office, please visit www. pamd13trustee.com Key Responsibilities Answer phones and assist callers with general questions Review case files and documents for accuracy before closure Enter and update information in the office's computer system Follow established checklists and procedures to ensure cases meet required guidelines Communicate with attorneys and other parties to resolve routine questions or discrepancies Track follow‑up items until resolved Prepare and send standard notices and letters Open, log, and process incoming checks and mail Assist with monthly check printing and mailing Provide backup support for basic bookkeeping tasks (training provided) Assist with scanning, filing, and general office support tasks Support general case administration and other duties as assigned Qualifications Strong attention to detail and accuracy Comfortable working with numbers, documents, and computer systems Ability to follow procedures and maintain confidentiality Professional communication skills Reliable, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks Experience with administrative, financial, or legal documents is helpful but not required Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $50,000-$60,000 Benefits include: 100% employer‑paid health, dental, and vision insurance 6% employer contribution to 401(k) — even if the employee does not contribute Paid vacation plus all federal holidays How to Apply Please submit your resume via Indeed.
