Day Shift:
Part Time (20 hours per week) Monday to Friday - 5 hour days (No evenings or weekends) What's in it for you? This position is a direct hire, this is where the candidate will be hired directly with the company without working a probationary period through WorkLink Staffing. What will you be doing? This is a part-time position based on a 20-hour work week. The Special Projects Assistant will provide support to the PA MEDI Coordinator and the Health and Wellness Coordinator. Primary duties will include completing PA Property Tax/Rent Rebate forms, Medicare counseling, and assisting with Health and Wellness programs for people over the age of 60. Complete PA Property Tax/Rent Rebate applications Provide Medicare counseling (upon completion of training) Assist with the aquatics program. Assist with the Healthy Steps for Older Adults program (upon completion of training) Data entry Must be able to adhere to process protocol. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner. May assist with community outreach events. Occasional travel for training may be required. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High school degree is required. 1 year of customer service experience is required. Experience in human services is preferred.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Teams). The ability to operate a computer in a Windows environment is essential. Must be able to use common office equipment (computer, copier, fax, phone, etc.) Advanced active listening skills. Ability to maintain a calm, sensitive, and tactful demeanor during high stress conversations. Ability to work effectively with adults who have social, economic, emotional, or health problems. Strong organizational & communication skills. Ability to work well independently and with a team. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with older adults and colleagues. Ability to prepare records and reports and maintain a workload in an effective manner. You must possess a valid PA driver's license. Why should you choose WorkLink Staffing?
