Position Overview:
We are seeking an organized, professional, and friendly Front Desk Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing daily administrative tasks, facilitating patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome patients and visitors, providing outstanding customer service. Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using our practice management software. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits; manage patient intake paperwork and documentation. Answer incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries professionally and efficiently. Process payments, manage billing information, and provide receipts as required. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere strictly to HIPAA guidelines. Coordinate communications between patients, providers, and external healthcare professionals. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room. Support administrative tasks including filing, scanning, faxing, and maintaining electronic health records.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in medical reception, ideally in dermatology or other specialty medical office. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software preferred (experience with AdvancedMD a plus). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in basic computer software. Ability to multitask and handle fast-paced office environments calmly and professionally.
