This role is essential in maintaining Borough records, managing trash and recycling billing, and assisting with public communications. Position Overview As an Administrative Assistant, you will be the backbone of daily municipal operations, providing crucial support to residents, stakeholders, and Borough officials. Your responsibilities will span record-keeping, public communication, permitting, and financial administration. What You'll Do Prepare agendas, ordinances, meeting minutes, and public notices while ensuring compliance with record retention laws. Manage municipal communications, including newsletters, social media, website updates, and notifications. Assist residents with Borough policies, applications, complaints, and public service inquiries. Oversee trash and recycling billing, special collections, and liaise with contractors. Support permitting, code enforcement, financial administration, and general office operations. Key Qualifications High school diploma required; vocational training or college degree preferred. Minimum two years of administrative experience, preferably in municipal government. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database systems; QuickBooks experience preferred.
