Job Description

Full-time evening shift Secretary position in the main laboratory . SUMMARY Primarily performs order entry for referred samples from our outreach program. Secondarily, collects blood and other specimens from both in and outpatients in a professional and timely manner, consistent with accepted standards of quality patient care. Also performs clerical, receptionist, and customer service duties as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
High school education or equivalent, required. Training in phlebotomy or medical assistant course preferred. Previous experience in phlebotomy and direct patient care preferred. Current BLS Healthcare Provider card. Stroke education is required. Refer to Administrative Policy A-148 for specific education requirements. High School or better.
