Summary of position : Assist with the administrative operations of the Head Start Program across all component areas. Job Responsibilities (see attached job description for additional details): Operate standard office equipment. Answer phones in a professional manner; take and relay messages. Maintain personnel data within the software system as required by the program. Complete required data entry for students and staff into various program, state, and federal software systems as required. Support program leadership with hiring, onboarding, and exiting processes, such as preparing paperwork, inputting data, scheduling appointments, and completing necessary forms. Assist with scheduling appointments, using Outlook and other MS Office applications. Update and maintain Head Start contact information lists and distribute to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications:
Two-year degree in a business-related field or high school diploma/G.E.D., plus 4 years experience in a related field. Bilingual/Spanish speaking preferred. Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, etc. Ability to work independently without direct supervision. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Thorough knowledge of office procedures, including but not limited to: information filing, organization, and management processes.
Schedule:
Full-time, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., 35 hours/week, 12 months/year
Salary:
$22.37-$29.23/hour Per Head Start Salary Scale
