Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES
: The Administrative Assistant aids the Director and Administrative Lead of the School of Architecture in administrative tasks in areas related to students and alumni including but not limited to admissions, recruiting, registration, alumni, career services, student organizations, events, assessments, accreditations, and archiving.
Essential Functions:
Provide administrative and operational support to the Director, Administrative Lead, faculty, staff, and students. Serve as a key administrative liaison in the School of Architecture for admissions, recruitment, registration, retention, graduation, alumni relations, and career services. Coordinate student-facing programs, events, orientations, lectures, career fairs, alumni activities, and other School initiatives. Maintain accurate records, databases, calendars, tracking systems, and archives related to students, alumni, events, and School activities. Assist with assessment, accreditation, strategic planning, surveys, reporting, and other institutional initiatives. Coordinate with University offices and external partners to support School programs and services. Manage communications and information distribution to students, faculty, alumni, and other constituents. Assist with special projects and other administrative priorities as assigned. Utilize approved technology and AI tools, as appropriate, to improve administrative efficiency while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with University policies.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma; Postsecondary education and experience in an academic environment are preferred. Demonstrated administrative or office support experience. Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Office or comparable productivity and database applications. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
Schedule:
35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
