Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant community as a Church Administrative Assistant, where your organizational talents and friendly demeanor will help keep our church operations running smoothly and efficiently. This paid position offers a dynamic environment dedicated to serving others, supporting church staff, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for congregation members and visitors alike. Your role will be vital in managing daily administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring effective communication across all church departments. Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact at the church office, greeting visitors and answering multi-line phone systems with professionalism and warmth Manage office operations including filing, data entry, and maintaining organized records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools Oversee calendar management for church events, meetings, and appointments, ensuring all scheduling is accurate and up-to-date Handle bookkeeping responsibilities utilizing QuickBooks and Planning Center to track donations, expenses, and financial records accurately Provide exceptional customer support by addressing inquiries promptly and courteously both in person and via phone or email Assist with clerical duties such as proofreading documents, preparing correspondence, and managing incoming/outgoing mail Support office management tasks including supply inventory, maintaining filing systems, and coordinating with vendors or service providers Experience in managing webpages and socia media is a plus Requirements Proven office management or administrative experience with strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) is required Experience with QuickBooks software is desirable Experience with Planning Center is desirable Excellent phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently Strong typing skills along with data entry accuracy and proofreading capabilities Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Personal assistant or office experience that includes calendar management and supporting busy teams Committed to the Christian faith and mission of the church This paid role is perfect for someone eager to contribute to a meaningful community environment while honing their administrative skills. Pay:
