Part-Time Administrative Assistant (Hybrid) About So Rich in Community So Rich in Community is a grassroots nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth, strengthening families, and creating opportunities through community engagement, education, mentorship, and service. We believe meaningful change happens when communities come together to invest in one another. Position Summary So Rich in Community is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Administrative Assistant to support the Executive Director and assist with the day-to-day operations of the organization. This hybrid position requires a candidate who can work independently while remaining responsive and engaged. Some responsibilities can be completed remotely, while others require attendance at meetings, community events, outreach activities, and in-office work as needed. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and passionate about making a difference in the community. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Executive Support Provide direct administrative support to the Executive Director Manage calendars, scheduling, and meeting coordination Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems Prepare documents, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and correspondence Track deadlines, action items, and organizational priorities Assist with research and special projects Community Outreach & Relationship Building Support communication with community partners, volunteers, donors, and stakeholders Assist with outreach efforts for programs, events, and community initiatives Coordinate meetings and maintain communication records Follow up with partners and community contacts as directed Event & Program Support Assist with planning and executing community events and programs Coordinate logistics, registrations, volunteers, materials, and communications Attend select events and meetings to provide operational support Assist with post-event reporting and follow-up Operations & Project Coordination Monitor ongoing projects and ensure tasks are completed on time Maintain accurate records and organizational databases Help improve systems and administrative processes Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality Work independently while keeping leadership informed of progress and challenges Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum 2 years of administrative, nonprofit, project coordination, or related experience preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines Professional, reliable, and solution-oriented Technical Skills Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) Comfortable using virtual meeting platforms and cloud-based systems Canva, social media management, and nonprofit experience are a plus Requirements Reliable transportation for occasional in-person meetings, events, and office work Ability to work a flexible afternoon/evening schedule Availability to attend occasional community events, including some evenings and weekends Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is: Highly organized and self-directed Comfortable working both remotely and in person A strong communicator and relationship builder Able to take ownership of projects and follow them through to completion Passionate about community engagement and nonprofit work Capable of leading within their area of responsibility without constant supervision How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest in nonprofit work and community engagement.
