Puyallup, WA Job Details From $21 an hour 16 hours ago Qualifications Moving Full Job Description Available dates of employment: August 10, 2026 - October 2, 2026 leading up to and during the Washington State Fair. Administrative Assistant responsible for supporting General Manager and Scheduling/Payroll departments by coordinating specific day to day aspects of operation. This is a multi-faceted role, requiring a great deal of careful attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication with a team, and keeping track of many moving pieces. The majority of work is office based, but also requires the physical ability to move/install point of sales equipment, pull uniforms from storage, and walk between locations across a large campus. Examples of specific tasks may include: Catalog and Install all Point of Sales equipment (Clover) Pull Uniforms from storage, organize and track use during event Assist GM with hiring and orientation events Organize and file required employee paperwork, keeping up-to-date records of any needed or missing files Track employee attendance and verify employee time cards on a daily basis for accuracy Receive employee call outs and communicate with appropriate shift managers in real time to fill gaps in schedule Assist with scheduling (match employee availability to open shifts) When appropriate, assist new hires with setting up online account access Prepare daily report for GM to review any areas of concern, and participate in daily check ins. Organize and store uniforms at end of event Clean and box all Point of Sales equipment to return, carefully matching serial numbers and documenting tracking numbers for shipping 18+ years of age US Work authorization and valid ID 2+ years experience working in administration or HR assistance Experience with scheduling and time cards preferred. Proficient with computers, including use of
Microsoft Excel/Google Docs Organized:
able to file and keep track of documents efficiently
Self-starter:
able to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills Willing to be accountable and work as part of a team Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs Able to stand, sit, and walk distances of up to a mile Pay for this position starts at $21/hr depending on experience. Approximately 25 hours/week, 4 day work week. August 10 - October 2. All work takes place on site at the Washington State Fairgrounds in Puyallup. Not available for remote work.
