DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides clerical support that helps the office operate efficiently and stay well organized. The role is important in keeping information, communication, and daily activities on track. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

Phone And Mail:

Handle calls, relay messages, manage the switchboard, and process incoming and outgoing mail

Document Preparation:

Type and review documents, correct errors, and complete timely distribution

Scheduling Support:

Organize appointments, meetings, videoconferences, and record minutes when needed

Records Management:

Maintain filing systems, archive documents, and update databases, reports, and spreadsheets

Office Coordination:

Compile records, guide workflow, monitor supplies, and track required reports

General Tasks:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary:

Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); o r Graduation from high school: o r An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements :

Successful completion of the training academy in Elizabethtown, PA. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
