Job Description
Lakeville United Congregational church is seeking an Office Assistant 10 hours per week, remote and in office. We are an open and affirming congregation and this inclusivity is an important part of our mission. We are seeking a reliable, organized, and professional Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations. The ideal candidate is able to work independently; be detail-oriented, friendly, comfortable handling multiple priorities, and able to provide excellent support to staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries. Sort and distribute mail and email. Proficient in all Microsoft products Familiarity with Constant Contact Proficient using Google Suite Produce with assist of others a weekly newsletter for the congregation. Responsibility for weekly bulletins for church as well as other special bulletins. Attend monthly Church Council meetings to take minutes and distribute. Provide clerical assistance to pastor as needed. Assist with monthly or annual reports as required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional administrative training or coursework is a plus. Previous office, receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Comfort using office equipment such as phones, printers, scanners, and copiers. Dependable, courteous, discreet, and able to handle confidential information appropriately. Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a busy office environment. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new processes.
