Job Description
Office Assistant - Job Description Johns Creek Presbyterian Church Released July 2026 The Office Assistant Position is a part time role responsible for managing the weekly church operations as listed below. The Office Assistant works closely with the staff, including the Finance Coordinator, Facilities Coordinator, Co-Pastors, Clerk of Session, and occasional Church Members. The Office Assistant reports to the Co-Pastors, Rev. Rachel Breyer Mulgrave and Rev. George Tatro. Job Responsibilities Financial Management
- Receive, track, and manage Sunday contributions along with all monies JCPC receives, including handling the monthly bank deposit
- Assist the pastors in sending out quarterly giving letters to tithing members
- Provide administrative support for the Stewardship Campaign
- Help the pastors track and file expense reports and receipts Membership Management
- Keep regular maintenance of membership software (OnRealm), including the tracking of visitors, transfers of membership, and contact information for members and regular attendees
- Keep up-to-date records of background checks and of child protection policy trainings
- Manage and compile data for Presbytery and Session meetings Office Management
- Manage the church calendar across all church activities and outside group requests
- Answer phones and front door during business hours
- Manage the church door lock system
- Print weekly bulletins and inserts for Worship
- Order office supplies and manage copy machine
- Other miscellaneous administration support duties as assigned by the co-pastors Job Requirements
- Knowledge of Quickbooks, including fund account management for non-profit organizations
- Experience with Google Drive and Canva
- Experience with OnRealm is preferred but not required
- Willingness to work within the culture of a Mainline Protestant church, with a respect and general understanding of Presbyterian Church (USA) theology and polity
Work Days & Times:
- Monday - Thursday work schedule with flexible start and end times within church office hours
- In-person office hours with opportunity to occasionally work from home when appropriate
- Approximately 25 hours per week
